We were Friendlier!

Indian government was too generous in 1983 and at many other occasions. The following section is one such example in contrast to the treatment meted out by US to Indian diplomat and visiting leaders to that country. Leave aside diplomatic immunity, they helped Union Carbide Chief in India, Mr. Anderson to escape the country ignoring the magnitude of the tragedy caused by UC dubiously known in Indian history as Bhopal gas Tragedy in the night of 3rd December 1983. Now, Indian government is fighting for the honor of their own diplomat in US who is entitled for immunity by appropriate sections of international conventions. This shows even after many years Indian foreign policy has not undergone any significant change. Pathetic!!
